After testing and before races

I think after the long break everyone was keen to sit back in the car and this moment finally came. We were able to do only one test session in February and then because of the COVID-19 pandemic we didn’t have the chance to test in Barcelona.

The wait was really long but of course we tried to stay in a good physical and mental condition, did a lot of simulator racing, but that is not the same as when we are sitting in the car and racing on track.

Two weeks ago I wasn’t sure that I’m in the best shape so I left Hungary and did a one week trainig camp to prepare physically and mentally for this season what is a big step for me in general. Formula Renault Eurocup is a big jump after Formula 4 but I really would like to learn and experience a lot because I believe that this is the one of the most important thing to develop my driving skills.

Here in Monza we started with two days of collective pre-season testing and we were on track almost the whole day on Monday and on Tuesday. We tried many things with the setup and with the tyres, but this is of course totally different then driving on free practices or on qualifying during a race weekend.

We drove a lot both with old and new tires and the goal was everytime different during the morning and the afternoon testing. We worked a lot with the engineers and I had some useful chats with Lorenzo about the possible changes on the setup.

All in all I feel very well at Bhaitech but this is not a surprise as I was lucky enough to chosse a team for myself before the season.
